JRDT has been granted registration under Section 6 (1) (a) of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1976 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, vide letter

No. FC No.  094580039 -FCRA-II dated 27 JAN 2014 to receive foreign contributions

A Public Charitable Trust by the deed of declaration of Trust Deed No.13591.JRDT was also granted section

80-G /12A(a) of the Income Tax Act 1961.

JRDT is also registered under Section of the Income Tax Act 1961, Mayur Bhawan, New Delhi.



 

 
 

JANARAKSHA RURAL DEVELOPMENT TRUST (JRDT) is a registered, non profit, non-political, voluntary organization based at MANDYA in Karnataka. It was launched in April 1989 under the Karnataka Societies Registration act, 1960. Registration Details 2/89-90 Dated 15-.04-2009.It has been registered under FCRA with the Ministry of Home in June 2000 and under section 80G and 12A of Income Tax act, 1961.

 

 
Aims & Objectives

Aims & Objectives

Janaraksha(JRDT) aims to contribute towards the empowerment and capacity building of the disadvantaged families / communities particularly the women and children through the process of enabling them to manage the changes they seek in their own lives, at the individual level and also within the Community they live.
  • To improve the economic condition of the marginalized sections of the society and alleviate poverty through various income generation programmes and livelihood programmes such as vocational training, etc.

  • To create health awareness and establish Health Centers in the rural remote areas.

  • To work for empowerment of women and child rights.

  • To respond, address and undertake other issues affecting human life such as natural and man made calamities.

  • To provide value-based education to the underprivileged children with special emphasis on educating girls, by establishing primary, Secondary and Senior Secondary Schools.

  • To undertake non-formal and adult education programmes for achieving 100% literacy and social transformation

  • To conduct medical campus for the socially deprived people and for free distribution of medicine for the poor patients.

  • To sponsor the poor children and encourage them to study well by giving them all sorts of encouragement books, scholarships and other facilities.

  • To conduct literacy program for the weaker sections of the society in urban and rural areas and village development by adopting villages.

  • To impart necessary training for development of orphanages and training program like tailoring, embroidery etc., to the needy and people living below poverty.

  • To help rehabilitation of the handicapped in rural and urban areas.

  • To help landless labourers, village artisans, and economically weaker sections in poultry farming, horticulture, fisheries and such other self employment programs.

  • To sponsor to assist development programs for the welfare of tribal people.

  • To rehabilitate child and bonded labourers and destitute women in rural and urban areas.

  • To organize and run self help groups and to promote micro-enterprises activities for the upliftment of the underprivileged groups in rural and urban areas.

  • To act as a catalyst for social and economic change.

  • To promote addiction free (alcohol and drugs) society.

  • To create Entrepreneurial and Social awareness among women.

  • To train women in skills to ensure their economic self-reliance.

  • To promote social Justice and equality for women

  • To promote Self-Employment and other venture for economic rehabilitation of persons with disabilities.

  • To train youth in leadership qualities.

  • To promote integrated transformation of rural areas.

  • To perpetuate need based education system in rural areas.

  • To mobilize increased attention and political commitment on HIV/AIDS, drugs, alcohol.

  • To join hands with the government and other agencies in the development program for accelerating the social change.

  • To take care of old aged needy people and to take care of their helth, food and shelter.

  • To undertake all activities for the empowerment and development of welfare of women and children.
