JRDT has been granted registration under Section 6 (1) (a) of the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act, 1976 by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, vide letter

No. FC No.  094580039 -FCRA-II dated 27 JAN 2014 to receive foreign contributions

A Public Charitable Trust by the deed of declaration of Trust Deed No.13591.JRDT was also granted section

80-G /12A(a) of the Income Tax Act 1961.

JRDT is also registered under Section of the Income Tax Act 1961, Mayur Bhawan, New Delhi.



 

 
 

JANARAKSHA RURAL DEVELOPMENT TRUST (JRDT) is a registered, non profit, non-political, voluntary organization based at MANDYA in Karnataka. It was launched in April 1989 under the Karnataka Societies Registration act, 1960. Registration Details 2/89-90 Dated 16-06-2009.It has been registered under FCRA with the Ministry of Home in JAN 2014 and under section 80G and 12A of Income Tax act, 1961.

The Governing Body of the Organization consists of Six members from various spheres of life, out of whom one are women.
JRDT has a long standing of 15 years in the service to the poor and needy in various parts of Karnataka. The organization gave focus on women empowerment throughout its service period. It worked through self help groups of women to provide them maximum benefits.
JRDT worked in collaboration with various departments of state and central governments and panchayat raj institutions, other than CAPART and other private institutions.
The thrust of activities of JRDT was on strengthening of self help groups, micro credit, vocational skill development, health and sanitation, rural development, legal and social awareness programs and community development. The beneficiaries of these activities include people belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes, minority groups, backward communities of rural and urban areas of Mysore,.Chamarajanagar,.Mandya,l,Ramanagaram and Bangalore rural districts of Karnataka.
JRDT has a building with 600 sq.ft in MANDYAe where the office functions from. Sri.Krishnegowda, the chief functionary of JRDT.
